Recent Activities - 2022

The Lilli Foundation and its associated website are going into the 17 th year of continuous operation in the New Year of 2022.  In response to the rapidly changing landscape of societal needs, the Board has expanded its focus beyond a successful regional scholarship program to support endeavors that are national and international in scope.  These would include the rapid response to natural disasters though the American Red Cross (Hurricanes Harvey, Irma and Sandy)  and programs that provide more long-term programatic support such as the National Marfan Foundation, Doctors Without Borders, Truckin 4 Troops, City Missions, Feeding America, Women's Centers, Special Olympics, Habitat for Humanity, National Organization for Rare Diseases and the Relapsing Polychondritis Foundation.   On May 4, 2022 at Aurora High School, a new scholarship program was announced in honor of Brian W. Wessels.  This year's awardee was Ms. Lydia Schiopota.  Congratulations Lydia!
